Tyra Cox of Miami Northwestern had a busy day at the Florida state track and field championships on Saturday. She ran a US#1 time of 51.44 seconds in the 400 meters, won the 200 meters in 22.99 seconds, and also placed third in the 100 in 11.77 seconds. Miami Northwestern finished second in the Class 3A girls team standings. Cox's 51.44 is No. 12 in high school history.
