Illinois athletes were itching for great weather this past weekend as the rankings pages filled up with some great performances from across the state. One of the bigger performances was from Isaiah Whitaker. The junior from Bloomington Central Catholic in his first outdoor meet of the season cleared a nation’s leading height of 17-10.5 to win the Pole Vault at a meet at Metamora.

There were some great performances this weekend in California at the Arcadia Invitational from some of the top runners in the state.
