Illinois Track & Field Highlights - 2025 Boys Conference Meets

The regular season for Boys teams ended with a bang as storms hit Illinois beginning Thursday causing numerous delays in some of those meets. It did also help some athletes with achieving some lofty personal bests with those high winds playing a factor. The leaderboards flipped around as we head into the final two weeks of the Boys season.

 

Here are highlights of Boys Conference Meets that took place from May 6 until May 17.

 

West Suburban Conference-Silver @ Oak Park-River Forest (5/15) – It was a wild night on Thursday at this conference meet held on the defending 3A State Champions Oak Park-River Forest new campus track. High winds played a big roll in some of the races that took place before a storm hit the area causing a 90-minute delay in the meet that ended just after 11 PM. The host Huskies came away with another conference divisional title scoring 159 points. York scored 100 points to finish second with Downers Grove North placing third (87 points). A team to watch in the future is Hinsdale Central that scored 184 points to win the Frosh/Sophomore title with 184 points winning by 74.5 points.

 

Meet management an hour before the meet made the decision to run the dashes from South to North with the aid at the start of a meet of a consistant 25 mph wind. It went lower before the start of the race, but the change of direction paid off in a big way. The 100 Meter Dash produced three of the top 10 times in the state. Defending 3A state champion Caleb Schulz of Oak Park-River Forest ran a state leading 10.38 to win the 100 Meter Dash as Dominic Tresslar of Hinsdale Central ran 10.41 to finish second. Jordan Ademuyiwa of Glenbard West ran 10.59 to finish third. The 110 Meter Hurdles also took advantage of the change in direction of the race. Luke De Simone of York took control of the race early running 14.37 to win the race. Ben Schoettle of Glenbard West ran 14.59 to finish second. The temperature and the wind dropped after the delay. Schoettle ran 39.08 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles De Simone running 39.34 to finish second. Tresslar exacted his revenge in the 200 Meter Dash as he ran a personal best of 21.85 for the win ahead of Praxton Robinson of Proviso West (22.10), Danny Karnatz of York (22.22) and Schultz (22.32). Emanuel Murphy of Downers Grove North ran 48.32 to win the 400 Meter Dash ahead of Robinson (48.98) and Brian Carter Jackson of Oak Park-River Forest (50.08). York won two of the three sprint relays in this meet. York ran a state leading 41.50 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay with Oak Park-River Forest finishing second (41.73). Great handoffs propelled York to the win in the 4x200 Meter Relay as the Dukes ran 1:28.56 ahead of Oak Park-River Forest (1:29.47) and Downers Grove North (1:29.81). It was close in the 4x400 Meter Relay as the top three teams in the race were separated by just 12 hundredths of a second. Lyons Township (3:23.80) edged Downers Grove North (3:23.81) with York running 3:23.92 to finish third. Hinsdale Central ran 3:24.58 to finish fourth.

 

The horizontal jumps also provided some state top performances. Kwabena Osei-Yeboah of Oak Park-River Forest had some big jumps in the Long Jump including a 24-7.25 jump to win the event with Trevor Devries of Lyons Township jumping 23-8 to finish second. Osei-Yeboah came back to jump 46-10 to win the Triple Jump. Machai Nelson of Proviso West jumped 45-3 in finishing second. Malik Griffee of Oak Park-River Forest cleared 6-8 to win the High Jump. His younger brother Marquill Griffee along with Nelson cleared 6-4 to finish second and third. Lukas Brauc of Oak Park-River Forest cleared a conference record 16-2 to win the Pole Vault. Oak Park swept the top two spots in the Shot Put as Jonathan Sibley-Diggs claimed the win (52-4.5) ahead of teammate Dylan Pierce (50-2). Sibley-Diggs doubled back to win the Discus (153-5.75).

 

York pulled away to run 7:59.72 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay with Lyons Township running 8:03.35 to finish second. Phillip Cupial of Downers Grove North repeated as the 3200 Meter Run champion with a time of 9:27.92. His teammate Will Surratt ran 9:34.21 to finish second. The first race after the weather delay was the 800 Meter Run. York freshman Patrick Hill pulled away to run 1:56.99 for the win with teammate Carter Olsen ran 1:57.61 to finish second. Six runners in this race ran under 1:59. The top six runners in the 1600 Meter Run all achieved personal bests. Grant Schroder pushed the pace from the start passing 800 meters in 2:04 to run 4:13.80 for the win. Oak Park’s Finn Kelly (4:16.83) and Liam O’Connor (4:17.38) to finish second and third.

 

Southwest Prairie Conference @ Joliet Central (5/14) – Oswego East needed a second-place finish in the 4x400 Meter Relay to help the Wolves to win the conference title scoring 102 points. Yorkville scored 94 points to finish second just one point ahead of Plainfield North (93 points). Warm temperatures with little wind gave fans plenty to cheer about especially in the sprint events. Joe Owusu of Plainfield East ran 10.60 into a -1.3 m/s to win the 100 Meter Dash with Dontrell Young of Oswego (10.72 to finish second. Owusu anchored Plainfield East to wins in the 4x100 Meter Relay (41.86) ahead of Oswego East (42.26) and Bolingbrook (42.42) and the 4x200 Meter Relay (1:27.55) ahead of Oswego East (1:28.35) and Plainfield North (1:28.76). Young had a big meet setting two meet records. The sophomore came back to run 47.63 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Bruce Duncan II of Bolingbrook (48.87) and James Kokuro Jr. of Joliet West (48.88) his closest competition. Young in the 200 Meter Dash broke Kahmari Montgomery’s 10-year-old conference record by running 21.31 to win ahead of Noah Grigsby of Oswego East (21.48) and Owusu (21.73). Jezhian Sprinkle of Oswego ran 14.88 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles ahead of Donavin Eason of Oswego East (14.92). Sprinkle also won the 300 Meter Hurdles (38.95) with Aidan Kolkmeyer of Yorkville running 40.32 to finish third. Bolingbrook ended the meet running 3:21.33 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay ahead of Oswego East (3:21.52) and Yorkville (3:22.24).

 

Owen Horeni of Yorkville took the lead with 200-meters left in the race as he set a new meet record in the 800 Meter Run running 1:52.99 for the win ahead of Nathaniel Gabriel of Joliet Central (1:54.38) and Quinn Davis of Plainfield North (1:54.44). Thomas Czerwinski of Plainfield North passed Horeni in the final 50 meters to win the 1600 Meter Run (4:17.95) ahead of Horeni (4:18.33) and Davis (4:20.28). Dylan Maloney pulled away from the field on the fifth lap of the 3200 Meter Run as he went on to run 9:25.46) with Aidan Connors of Plainfield North finishing second (9:29.07). Oswego East ran 8:00.89 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay ahead of Bolingbrook (8:01.96) and Plainfield North (8:04.37). Zach Morrisroe of Oswego East won the Shot Put (53-9). Nikolas Grigsby of Plainfield South threw 156-10 to win the Discus. Taylor Cements of Yorkville won the High Jump (6-2). Minooka’s Cooper Bowman and Jaxson Waddell both cleared 14-1.75 in the Pole Vault with Bowman winning on fewer misses. Jordan Lampkins of Bolingbrook won the Long Jump (22-4.25). Shaun Alexander of Romeoville jumped 46-2.75 to win the Triple Jump.

 

Southwestern Conference @ Belleville East (5/14) – Edwardsville tuned up for the state series repeating as conference champions with 162 points. Belleville West scored 105 points to finish second with East. St. Louis scoring 90 points to finish third. Clayton Lakatos of Edwardsville swept the sprints in his final conference meet. Lakatos ran a personal best of 10.57 to win the 100 Meter Dash just edging Morquez Bulliner of Belleville West (10.62) and Cincere Ruffin of Edwardsville (10.65). Lakatos came back to run another personal best of 21.32 to win the 200 Meter Dash with his teammate Ruffin finishing second (21.37). Belleville East’s Kymani Willingham (21.62) and Silas Mitchell (21.92) ran under 22 seconds finishing third and fourth. Troy Mclean of Belleville West coasted to the win in the 400 Meter Dash (493.4) to stay ahead of Darius Ivy of East St. Louis (50.08). Belleville West ran 41.83 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of Edwardsville (42.08) and East. St. Louis (42.15). Belleville East (1:28.31) edged Belleville West (1:28.38) to win the 4x200 Meter Relay. Belleville West ran 3:19.42 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay with East. St. Louis their closest competition (3:22.56).

 

Daylin Donaldson of Belleville East won both hurdle races. The sophomore ran 13.84 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles. Jalyn Cole of Belleville West finished second (13.94) ahead of Jadon Wright of Belleville East (14.32). Donaldson later ran 38.22 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles by two seconds ahead of Tyreke Baker of East St. Louis (40.40). Brayden Kloeppel of O’Fallon was a double winner running 9:46.68 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Kloeppel ran 4:27.79 to outdistance Hugh Davis of Edwardsville (4:33.40) to win the 1600 Meter Run. Alton’s Hank McClaine ran 1:57.73 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of his teammate Noah Gallivan (2:00.41). East St. Louis ran 8:10.07 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay ahead of Edwardsville (8:12.54) and O’Fallon (8:15.58). Devin Habermehl of Collinsville won the Shot Put ahead of Edwardsville’s Gavin Stukenberg (54-4.5) and Iose Epenesa (50-6.75). Epenesa threw 181-10 to win the Discus with Habermehl finishing second (177-1). Braden Missey of Belleville West jumped 23-2.5 to win the Long Jump by a foot ahead of Dean Williams of Edwardsville (22-3). Shamond McClain of East St. Louis jumped 44-11.5 to win the Triple Jump. Darron Bradley of East St. Louis cleared 6-2.75 to win the High Jump. Parker Owens of Edwardsville cleared 14-7.5 to win the Pole Vault.

 

Southwest Suburban Conference @ Homewood-Flossmoor (5/14) – Homewood-Flossmoor won the conference title on their home track scoring 164 points. Lincoln-Way East (115 points) and Lincon-Way West (90.5 points). Zion Morrison was the star of this meet putting up some great performances on his home track. Morrison started by running a wind legal 13.97 with the closest runner to him Brendan Vlasek of Lincoln-Way West running 14.46. Morrison came right back to the 100 Meter Dash where he ran 10.74 to win the 100 Meter Dash with teammate Joaquin Jordan running 10.80 to finish second. Lincoln-Way East’s Isaiah Kuli (10.92) and Keagan Ruane-Martino (10.96) finished third and fourth. Morrison’s third win came when he ran 21.42 to win the 200 Meter Dash again with Jordan second (21.58) just ahead of Austin Rowswell of Lincoln-Way West (21.60). It there was one performance that stood out the most, it was the one exhibited by Rowswell in the 400 Meter Dash. The senior ran a state leading 46.94 to win the race ahead of Nolan Lamoureux of Lockport Township (48.46) and Zaven Johnson of Lincoln-Way West (49.84). Vlasak after finished second behind Morrison in the 110 Meter Hurdles, the senior came back to run 38.12 to win the 300 Hurdles just ahead of Ethan Eiche from Lincoln-Way East (38.72) and Randall McDaniel of Homewood-Flossmoor (38.98).

 

Vlasak, along with Johnson, Rowswell, and Hunter Spee, helped Lincoln-Way West in winning the 4x400 Meter Relay (3:21.85) ahead of Homewood-Flossmoor (3:22.77). It was Homewood-Flossmoor that had command of the other three relays. The Vikings ran 41.71 to win the 4x100 Meter Dash ahead of Lincon-Way East (42.39) and Sandburg (42.49). Homewood-Flossmoor followed by running 1:27.38 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay with Lincoln-Way East (1:28.00) finishing second. Homewood-Flossmoor surprised some by winning the 4x800 Meter Relay (7:55.63) with Andrew (8:02.23), Sandburg (8:06.48), and Lincoln-Way Central (8:06.56). Sean Hanrahan of Lincoln-Way East won the 3200 Meter Run (9:27.76) with AA Stagg’s Jack Krusinski finishing second (9:29.73). Mateo Ramiro-Garcia of Sandburg ran a huge personal best of 1:53.98 to win the 800 Meter Run. Bryce Counihan of Lincoln-Way Central finished second (1:55.91) ahead of Caden Wolfe of Andrew (1:56.37). Braden Hoff of Lincoln-Way Central took control of the 1600 Meter Run halfway through the race as he went on to run 4:20.15 to capture the win. His teammate Jack Galminas ran 4:23.51 to finish second with Matthew Miller of Sandburg finishing third (4:24.59).

 

Anthony Edison Jr of Homewood-Flossmoor unleashed a huge personal best jump of 23-7.75 in winning the Long Jump. Malachi Lee of Bradley-Bourbonnais (23-5.5) and Nolan Lewis of Homewood-Flossmoor (22-11.75). Tebit Okwen of Lincon-Way East jumped 44-3.5 to win the Triple Jump. Homewood-Flossmoor’s DeWayne Anderson and Romahd Johnson finished 1-2 in the Pole Vault both clearing 6-2. Ryan Stiglic of Lincoln-Way West won the Pole Vault clearing 14-7.5. Aiden Jenkins of Homewood-Flossmoor won the Shot Put with a 48-2 best. Judah Van Engen of Andrew threw a 158-9 best in winning the Discus.

 

DuKane Conference @ Lake Park (5/16-17) – Storms hit the Chicago area delaying this meet by close to 90 minutes. The running events completed late Friday evening with teams coming back Saturday to complete the Pole Vault. Batavia won the team title scoring 151 points finishing ahead of St. Charles North (118 points). Wheaton-Warrenville South (104 points) and Lake Park (103 points) finished third and fourth. Amari Williams of Wheaton-Warrenville South was the only multi event individual winner in this two-day meet. Williams ran 14.81 to easily win the 110 Meter Hurdles ahead of Matthew Shelton of Wheaton North (15.34). It was tighter for Williams in the 300 Meter Hurdles as he still won running 39.94. Thomas Woodard of Batavia ran 40.34 to finish second. Williams also anchored Wheaton-Warrenville South to the win in the 4x100 Meter Relay (42.08) finishing ahead of Batavia (42.41). Batavia (1:30.43) in the 4x200 Meter Relay and Geneva (3:25.39) in the 4x400 Meter Relay were the other sprint relay winners.

 

Tactics caused by the high winds played a big role in the distance races. Francesco Benelli of Batavia ran 9:34.33 to win the 3200 Meter Run with Samuel Hill of St. Charles North placing second (9:39.82). The finish in the 1600 Meter Run was tight. Greyson Ellensohn of St. Charles East ran 4:21.22 to win with Josiah Narayanan of Wheaton-Warrenville South (4:21.48). Benelli (4:22.15) and Aidan Murphy of Wheaton North (4:22.72 were next to cross the line. Edward Polaski of Batavia won the 800 Meter Run (1:57.70) with Michael Wilson of St. Charles East placing second (1:58.21). Narayanan ran a 1:58 anchor split to help Wheaton-Warrenville South win the 4x800 Meter Relay (8:09.27) ahead of St. Charles North (8:12.91).

 

Nathan Whitwell of Batavia ran 10.89 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of St. Charles North’s Wylder Smith (11.10) and Aden Applewhite of Wheaton-Warrenville South (11.13). Smith came back to run 22.53 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Noah Erwin of Batavia finishing second (22.77). Mason Halbach of Geneva ran 50.08 to win the 400 Meter Dash. PJ Anderson of Lake Park jumped 22-3.5 to win the Long Jump ahead of teammate Aiden Patel (21-7.25). Isaiah Brown of Batavia jumped a personal best 46-3.5 to win the Triple Jump by three feet. Gavin Pecor of Batavia established a new personal best of 61-5 to win the Shot Put. Rodrigo Gonzalez of Lake Park (55-5.5) finished second. Jaysek Thompson of Glenbard North threw 159-10 to win the Discus with Joseph Michelini of Lake Park (159-5), Pecor (153-8), and Jonathan Hurst of Wheaton North (151-11). Niko Menos of Lake Park cleared 6-4 to win the High Jump. Nathan McLoughlin of St. Charles North cleared 14-8 to win the Pole Vault.

 

Chicago Catholic League @ Loyola Academy (5/16-17) – Another meet that extended a second day due to the high winds that hit the Chicago area. Brother Rice edged Loyola Academy 133-127.5 to win the league championship. St. Ignatius (72 points) and DePaul College Prep (70 points) finished third and fourth. Patrick Fitzgerald of Marmion Academy ran a personal best of 14.61 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles ahead of Nathaniel Tewelde of Loyola Academy (15.18) and KJ Morris of Brother Rice (15.20). Morris ran 40.71 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles ahead of Aiden Williams of Fenwick (40.97). Luke Leverett of Providence Catholic ran 10.67 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Seven runners were under 11 seconds in this race led by Nick Herman of St. Rita who ran 10.80. Miles Lyons of Loyola Academy ran 48.41 to win the 400 Meter Dash by over two seconds ahead of Matthew Simon of Fenwick (50.50). Lyons also ran 22.22 to win the 200 Meter Dash ahead of Emeir White of Brother Rice (22.79). White also jumped 21-3.6=5 to win the Long Jump. High winds slowed down runners in the distance events. Gavin O’Connor of Brother Rice ran 10:08.34 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Ben Bohr of Aurora Central Catholic ran 4:32.03 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of teammate Jack Swiatek finishing second (4:32.21). O’Connor (4:33.05) and his teammate Andrew Straley (4:34.38) finished third and fourth.

 

Chicago Public League @ Knute Rockne Stadium (5/17) – Kenwood edged Lane 140-137 to win the City title. Whitney Young scored 119 points to finish third. Lane had a one-point lead heading into the 4x400 Meter Relay ahead of Kenwood. What Kenwood needed was a win and they did just that running 3:25.02 to win the final section finishing ahead of Payton (3:27.11). Lane (3:31.98) and Whitney Young (3:31.99) to finish third and fourth. Cross winds affected some of the events in this meet. Payton tuned up for the upcoming state series sweeping the top two places in both the 800 Meter Run and the 1600 Meter Run. Preston Ellis ran 1:56.94 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of his teammate Tra’Monti Williams (1:57.03) more than a seconds ahead of Lane’s Owen Lilley (1:58.43). Declan Slavin of Payton ran 4:26.28 to win the 1600 Meter Run with teammate Vaughn Collier second (4:28.80. The four Payton runners started the meet running 7:56.89 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay 18 seconds ahead of Whitney Young (8:15.47).

 

Kenwood got most of their points on the sprints. Parrish Hartley Jr won the 100 Meter Dash (10.64) with Armond Boulware finishing second (10.67). Boulware took his turn up front running 22.03 with Hartley Jr finishing second (22.07), Kenwood was disqualified in the 4x100 Meter Relay giving Lane the win (42.95) ahead of Whitney Young (43.03). Kenwood got the baton around the track safely in the 4x200 Meter Relay running 1:29.77 to win by almost two seconds ahead of Lane (1:31.30). Logic West of Kenwood won a close 400 Meter Dash (49.11) ahead of Boulware (49.26) and Lucas Rumsa of Taft (49.35). West, Luke Pinto of Lane, and Steve Edwards of Mather all cleared 6-2.75 in the High Jump. Edwards won the event on fewer misses ahead of Pinto in second and West in third. Hartley Jr jumped to a state leading 24-10.75 to win the Long Jump with Maxwell Warner of Whitney Young who jumped 23-2.75 to finish second. Kenwood’s Jahari Horne and teammate Jordan Rabb both ran 15.14 with Horne winning the 110 Meter Hurdles. Horne came back to run 38.83 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles. Bryce Blythe of Whitney Young ran 39.45 to finish second.

 

DuPage Valley Conference @ Waubonsie Valley (5/15) – Naperville Central edged Neuqua Valley 176.5-172.5 to win the conference team title. Naperville North scored 116 points to finish third. Brayden Anderson of DeKalb ran 10.45 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Daniel Robinson of Neuqua Valley (10.50) and Naperville Central’s Eron Kennedy (10.70) and Chad Earl (10.79). Anderson ran a personal best of 47.96 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Henry Faber of Metea Valley running 49.27 to finish second. Robinson came back later in the meet to run 22.02 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Kennedy and Averi Smith of Neuqua Valley who both ran 22.12 finishing second and third. Cooper McGinnis of Neuqua Valley ran an electrifying 13.99 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles with Naperville North’s Nico Gall (14.61) and Edward Mumford (14.67) finishing second and third. McGinnis ran 39.01 to edge Kennedy (39.02) to win the 300 Meter Hurdles. Neuqua Valley ran 42.69 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Neuqua Valley also won the 4x200 Meter Relay (1:30.44) ahead of Naperville North (1:30.92). Naperville North won the 4x400 Meter Relay (3:25.70) with Neuqua Valley running 3:26.88 ahead of Naperville Central (3:26.95).

 

All three distance races were tactical considering the high winds that hit Illinois on Thursday. Manny Najera of Naperville Central won the 3200 Meter Run (10:01.34). Patrick Clune of Naperville Central won the 800 Meter Run (2:00.56) winning by more than two seconds. Jacob Barraza of DeKalb won the 1600 Meter Run (4:28.41) with a margin of victory by six seconds. Naperville Central won the 4x800 Meter Relay (8:33.42). Rajan Anthony of Neuqua Valley jumped 21-4.75 for the win in the Long Jump. Neuqua Valley’s David Taiwo jumped to a personal best of 46-4.25 to win the Triple Jump. Edward Mumford cleared 6-4 to win the High Jump. Connor Tran of Neuqua Valley, Brandon Kenny of Naperville Central, and Matthew Crane of Waubonsie Valley all cleared 12-8 in the Pole Vault with Tran winning the title on fewer misses. Naperville Central swept the top two places in the Shot Put with Ben Blank winning (53-9.75) ahead of Tim Preissig (52-1.25). The two also finished 1-2 in the Discus with Blank winning again (168-7) ahead of Preissig (156-2).

 

Mid Suburban League @ Barrington (5/14) – Barrington scored 134.5 points to win the League title ahead of Prospect (123 points) and Hersey (91 points). Micah Pickett of Hoffman Estates ran 10.95 to edge Lamar Osterhues of Barrington (10.99) to win the 100 Meter Dash. Barrington’s David Marian ran 11.09 to finish third. The Hoffman Estates sophomore came back to run 21.90 to win the 200 Meter Dash ahead of Nathan Cichy of Prospect (22.20) and Osterhues (22.28). Cichy did win the 110 Meter Hurdles (14.77) just edging Roy Black of Schaumburg (14.79). It was also a close finish in the 300 Meter Hurdles. Gunnar Woetzel of Rolling Meadows ran 38.93 to win edging Black (38.96). Adam Lyon of Barrington ran 48.65 winning the 400 Meter Dash by close to two seconds. The key to Barrington’s success in this meet was their three relay wins. Barrington ran 41.53 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay almost a second ahead of Prospect (42.50). Hoffman Estates finished third (42.76) in that final. The Broncos came back to run 1:28.83 to edge Prospect (1:28.90) in the 4x200 Meter Relay. It was close between the two schools in the 4x400 Meter Relay as Barrington took the win (3:22.59) with Prospect finishing second (3:22.76).

 

Palatine ran one of the faster times in the state with a 7:50.19 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay. Fremd (7:59.84) and Hersey (8:02.34) finished second and third. Joe Bregenzer of Barrington pulled away from the field in the final two laps as the defending state champion in the event ran 9:23.95 to win the 3200 Meter Run finishing ahead of Gabriel Gronski of Hersey (9:32.08), Brady Faulkner of Conant (9:32.60), and Keaton Fletcher of Palatine (9:33.63). Rory Gaan of Fremd took the lead on the final lap to run 4:14.65 to win the 1600 Meter Run finishing ahead of Alex Krieg of Palatine (4:16.88) and Mateus Salomao of Hersey (4:19.17). Bregenzer ran 4:21.36 to finish fourth. The top eight runners in the 800 Meter Run all ran personal bests. Mark McGinn of Barrington led the way running 1:56.11 to take the win. Zach Campbell of Schaumburg (1:57.17), Jesus Campos of Wheeling (1:57.94), and Landon Samp of Prospect (1:57.97) were the next finishers.

 

Logan Farrell of Hersey swept the weight events. The senior had a 58-10.25 best to win the Shot Put with Shea Lewis of Prospect (56-2) finishing second. Farrell threw 169-2 to win the Discus by over 22 feet. Will Viken of Rolling Meadows cleared 15-3 to win the Pole Vault. Hayden Dahlin of Barrington finished second (14-9). Ryan Fahey of Barrington cleared 6-2.75 to win the High Jump. Arman Lepuzanovic of Rolling Meadows jumped 22-3.75 to win the Long Jump ahead of Palatine’s Jordan Bostick (22-0.75). Oluwadamilare Hassan of Fremd jumped 45-7.75 to win the Triple Jump winning by close to two feet.

 

Fox Valley Conference @ Huntley (5/15) – Huntley edged Jacobs 113-112 in winning the team title. Dundee Crown scored 79 points in finishing third. There were several multi event winners in this meet. Oreoluwa Sobodu of Dundee-Crown ran 10.67 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Jacobs’ Matt Scardina (10.78) and Vincent Costa of Huntley (10.82). Sobodu ran 22.51 to win the 200 Meter Dash (22.51) with Costa (23.41) and Scardina (23.49) next. Scardina did capture a win running 50.55 to win the 400 Meter Dash. Alexander Trejo of Prairie Ridge won both the 110 Meter Hurdles (15.10) and the 300 Hurdles (41.73) winning that race by four hundredths of a second ahead of Gavin Klingberg of Burlington Central (41.77). Tommy Nitz of Huntley bided his time in the 3200 Meter Run winning in 10:00.89 with Jackie Clark of Crystal Lake Central (10:02.96). Nitz came back to run 4:20.91 in his win in the 1600 Meter Run with Max Sudrzynski of Jacobs finishing second (4:24.55). Jameson Tenopir of Cary-Grove ran 1:57.46 to win the 800 Meter Run.

 

Dundee-Crown ran 41.60 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay with Huntley (41.81) placing second. Huntley came back to run 1:29.65 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay. Cary-Grove ran 3:28.28 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay. Huntley won the 4x800 Meter Relay (8:20.80). Logan Abrams of Cary-Grove had a best put of 56-10.25 to win the Shot Put. Prince Barnes of Jacobs threw 165-11 to win the Discus with Abrams throwing 165-4 to finish second. Khristos Oludimu of Jacobs cleared a personal best of 6-6.75 to win the High Jump. Oludimu came back to jump 22-5 to win the Long Jump. Jake Hill of Huntley cleared 12-8 winning the Pole Vault on fewer misses. Zach Rysavy of Huntley won the Triple Jump (44-0.75).

 

Central Suburban League-South @ Deerfield (5/14) – New Trier scored 156 points to win the league team divisional title ahead of Evanston Township (135 points) and Glenbrook South (80 points). Glenbrook North ran a state leading time of 1:26.76 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay with Maine South (2:28.24) and New Trier (1:28.39). New Trier won the 4x100 Meter Relay (41.83) just edging Glenbrook North (41.86) with William Landwehr anchoring for the Trevians. Landwehr had a big day winning both sprint events. The senior ran 10.63 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Justin Johnson of Evanston (10.79) and Sean Schermerhorn of Maine South (10.84). Landwer also ran 21.72 to win the 200 Meter Dash just edging Schermer horn (21.76) and Johnson (21.82). Dallas Amos of Evanston ran 49.55 to win the 400 Meter Dash ahead of teammate Deshawn Preister (50.54). Evanston ran 3:23.63 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay ahead of New Trier (3:28.13).

 

Ben Crane anchored New Trier to the win in the 4x800 Meter Relay (8:10.37) just ahead of Deerfield (8:11.73). Crane ran a 1:57 anchor leg. He came back to run 4:16.04 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of Jamie Chandler of Deerfield (4:24.50). Jordan Kreiner of New Trier ran 1:57.23 to win the 800 Meter Run. Hayato Majoros of Glenbrook North (1:58.47) and Will Fontana of Glenbrook South (1:59.19) finished second and third. Joey Papanicholas of New Trier ran 9:28.16 to win the 3200 Meter Run just ahead of Sam Froum of Evanston (9:31.32) and Andrew Harmon of Deerfield (9:34.09). Enijel Shelton of Evanston achieved a personal best of 57-9 to win the Shot Put. Ryan Cunningham threw 153-2 to win the Discus. Jaden Jean-Paul of Evanston cleared 6-6 to win the High Jump ahead of Michael Gorelick of New Trier (6-4). Mason Cornwell of Glenbrook South cleared a personal best height of 14-7.5 to win the Pole Vault. Jean-Paul also won the Long Jump with a 21-8.25 best. Harrison Erdman of Deerfield jumped a huge personal best of 46-5.25 to win the Triple Jump.

 

Central Suburban League-North @ Niles West (5/15-16) – This divisional league meet turned into a two-day meet due to harsh weather conditions on Thursday afternoon. Niles West scored 176 points to win the league North Divisional team title ahead of Maine East (104.5) points) and Niles North (90 points). Jack Gutkowski of Vernon Hills was a double winner in this meet running 50.63 to win the 400 Meter Dash. He also ran 22.83 to win the 200 Meter Dash edging Graem Osselin of Niles North (22.90). Marvin Owusu of Maine East won the 100 Meter Dash (10.91) with Kai Coleman of Niles North second (11.16). Niles North won the 4x100 Meter Relay (43.22), 4x200 Meter Relay (1:31.68), and 4x400 Meter Relay (3:29.80). Dylan Dominguez of Highland Park won the 3200 Meter Run (9:37.27) ahead of Evan Parker of Niles North (9:49.18). Bryant Lester of Vernon Hills won the 1600 Meter Run (4:28.56) ahead of Highland Park’s Brian Hatoum (4:30.17) and Dominguez (4:32.94). Manny Olojo of Niles West won both the Shot Put (49-7.75) and the Discus (158-4).

 

Central State Eight Conference @ Springfield (5/15) – Chatham-Glenwood brought home the conference team title scoring 173 points. Springfield placed second (134.5 points) ahead of Springfield (86 points) and Rochester (84 points). There were four athletes in this meet that were multiple event winners. Larry Wills of Chatham-Glenwood jumped 23-0.75 to win the Long Jump with Darren Henry of Jacksonville jumping 22-11 to finish second. Wills came back to clear 6-6 in winning the High Jump. Parker Campbell won both the 110 Meter Hurdles (14.34) and the 300 Meter Hurdles (40.14). Mekhi Newman of Springfield ran 10.73 to win the 1009 Meter Dash ahead of Chatham-Glenwood’s Colton Ladage (10.83) and Blake Lehnen (11.04). Newman also won the 200 Meter Dash (21.85) with Lehnen finishing second (22.16). Brady Moser of Chatham-Glenwood ran a controlled 2:00.59 to win the 800 Meter Run. Moser came back to run 49.13 to win the 400 Meter Dash just ahead of Newman (49.17). Springfield’s great performances in the relays this season continued in this meet. The Senators ran 41.75 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay just ahead of Chatham-Glenwood (41.90). Chatham-Glenwood ran 1:29.08) for the title in the 4x200 Meter Relay. Springfield ran 3:26.75 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay. Henry jumped 44-3.5 to win the Triple Jump. Jack Stanton of Rochester cleared 13-0 to win the Pole Vault. Ryan McCombs of Jacksonville had a 53-2 mark to win the Shot Put. Cole Matejka of Normal University won the Discus (145-2). Normal University took the first two spots in the 1600 Meter Run. Sean Kaeb ran 4:26.16 to win ahead of freshman teammate Andrew Aldeman (4:28.93). David Peeler of Springfield won the 3200 Meter Run (10:06.61). Lincoln ran 8:02.13 missing the meet record by a second to win the 4x800 Meter Relay.

 

West Suburban Conference-Gold @ Hinsdale South (5/15-16) – One of the many conference meets that was stretched to two days due to storms on Thursday evening. Downers Grove South won the Gold Division Conference title scoring 174 points. Willowbrook (129 points) and Morton (127 points were a close second and third. Miguel Flores of Morton won the 3200 Meter Run (9:53.94 ahead of Wojtek Gilarski of Hinsdale South (9:57.78). Conrad Saner of Downers Grove South won the 1600 Meter Run (4:23.56) ahead of Orlando Sandoval of Morton (4:26.30). Alex Rodriguez of Morton ran 1:59.38 to win the 800 Meter Run. DeAndre Thomas of Hinsdale South ran 11.05 to win the 100 Meter Dash with Jaylin Miller of Willowbrook finishing second (11.13). Jayden Royal of Willowbrook jumped 46-1.25 to win the Triple Jump. Otis Powell of Willowbrook cleared 6-6 to win the High Jump.

 

Big Northern Conference @ Winnebago (5/15) – Dixon was dominant in winning the team title with 144 points. Byron (86.5 points) and Rockford Christian (80 points) finishing second and third. Anthony Valdivia of Rock Falls cleared 6-2 to win the High Jump and 51.27 to win the 400 Meter Dash just ahead of David Ballard of Rockford Lutheran (51.43). Ballard was a double winner running 10.98 to win the 100 Meter Dash and 22.92 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Andrew Kurien of Rockford Christian ran 2:02.66 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of teammate Joel White (2:03.65). Andrew Conderman of Dixon ran 9:53.39 to win the 3200 Meter Run just ahead of Tim Starwalt of Byron (9:57.64). Dean Geiger of Dixon ran 4:28.18 in his win in the 1600 Meter Run. Rockford Christian won the 4x100 Meter Relay (43.42) ahead of Stillman Valley (43.85). Rockford Christian ran 3:29.36 to edge Dixon (3:29.62) to win the 4x400 Meter Relay.

 

Black Diamond Conference @ Carmi (5/15) – Fairfield won the conference title scoring 120.33 points. Flora (91 points) and Carmi-White County (78 points) finished second and third. Evan Sanders of Johnston City won the Shot Put (50-8). His teammate Carson Murrah threw 155-2 to win the Discus. The only double event winner in this meet was when Liam Roberts of Eldorado ran 11:18.10 to win the 3200 Meter Run and 4:57.15 to win the 1600 Meter Run.

 

North Suburban Conference @ Stevenson (5/15-16) – Lake Zurich won this conference meet that lasted two days scoring 144 points. Stevenson scored 97 points to finish second. Lake Zurich Freshman Karanveer Patil was one of two athletes that won multiple events in this meet. Patil ran 9:46.88 to win the 3200 Meter Run ahead of teammate Luke Marshall (9:52.25). Patil came back to run 4:24.05 to win a close race in the 1600 Meter Run. Jacob Rasmussen of Warren finished second (4:24.87) ahead of Filip Vojvodic of Libertyville (4:26.43). Cameron Libby of Lake Zurich ran a personal best of 1:57.64 in his win in the 800 Meter Run ahead of Thomas Chudy of Libertyville (1:58.20) and Gurshaan Sohi of Stevenson (1:58.95). Benjamin Burton of Zion-Benton won the 200 Meter Dash (22.29) with Nicholas Gast of Lake Zurich finishing second (22.26. Gast on Thursday ran 11.30 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Deandre Jackson of Zion-Benton ran 49.19 to win the 400 Meter Dash. Lake Zurich ran 42.77 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of Warren (42.90). Tim Dan of Lake Forest was a double winner in this meet. He had a 52-1.25 put to win the Shot Put. Dan threw 171-7 7 in his win in the Discus ahead of Troy Valoaga from Stevenson (168-3) by three feet. Alex Moser of Stevenson jumped 23-5.25 to win the Long Jump finishing ahead of his teammate Andrei Konstantinidis (23-4). Connor Strauss of Lake Zurich (45-9.75) won the Triple Jump.

 

Northern Upstate Illinois Conference @ Forreston (5/15) – Forreston won their conference title on their home track scoring 138 points for the win. Lena-Winslow (119 points) and Galena (114 points) finished second and third. Morrison put a fast time up in the 4x100 Meter Relay running 42.57 for the win. Lena-Winslow ran 43.16 to finish second. Morrison also ran 1:31.50 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay again with Lena-Winslow finishing second (1:32.51). Alec Schlichting of Lena-Winslow ran 11.00 to win the 100 Meter Dash. The junior came back to run 22.49 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Gannon Dunker of Lena-Winslow had a 53-3 best to win the Shot Put. Aaron Culbertson of Galena had a throw of 161-1 to win the Discus.

 

South Suburban Conference-Blue @ TF South (5/15) – Thornton Fractional South won the Blue Divisional title scoring 164 points. Oak Forest (107 points) and Lemont (84) were the next two teams. David Nkwogu of TF South was the lone double event winner in this meet. The senior ran 15.98 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles. He also jumped a personal best of 46-1.25 to win the Triple Jump with teammate Pierre Dennis jumping 44-9.5 to finish second. Hillcrest ran 43.39 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay by more than a second.

 

South Suburban Conference-Red @ Oak Lawn (5/15) – Shepard scored 135 points to win the red division title ahead of Richards (97 points) and Reavis (89 points). Bryce Johns of Shepard won two individual events in this meet. Johns ran 16.36 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles as well as running 41.44 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles. Kenyatta Hope of Evergreen Park ran 11.71 to win the 100 Meter Dash and 22.54 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Santiago Chavez of Reavis won both the 3200 Meter Run (10:01.77) and the 1600 Meter Run (4:28.45). Jason Crowe of Shepard won the Shot Put with a 49-9.75 best mark. Crowe also threw 146-1 to win the Discus. Dorwyn Kippers of Shepard cleared 6-2 to win the High Jump/ He also had a 45-1 personal best in winning the Triple Jump.

 

South Seven Conference @ Mt. Vernon (5/16) – Carbondale scored 99 points to win this five-team conference meet finishing ahead of Marion (91 points) and Cahokia (74 points). Akeelan Dowell of Cahokia won both sprint races. Dowell ran 10.72 to win the 100 Meter Dash with Mogolodi Kebinang of Carbondale finishing second (10.93). Dowell ran 21.61 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Keaton Koch of Mt Vernon running 21.90. Kebinang and Kai-Veric Bratton of Centralia both ran 22.10 finishing third and fourth. Koch ran 14.52 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles ahead of Haydan Little of Marion (14.90). Little later in the meet ran 39.20 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles with Reginald Griffin of Cahokia placing second (39.77). Cahokia won both the 4x100 Meter Relay (42.68) and 4x200 Meter Relay (1:30.25). Raphael and Gabriel Greer of Marion both finished 1-2 in the distance events. The two ran 10:14 to win the 3200 Meter Run with Raphael winning the race. Raphael ran 4:24.98 to win the 1600 Meter Run with Gabriel running 4:29.51.

 

Upstate Eight Conference @ Streamwood (5/15) – West Aurora was in control in their first time in this conference championship. The Blackhawks scored 130 points in winning the team title ahead of Glenbard South (100 points) and Bartlett (85.5 points). There were three athletes that had multiple individual wins in this meet. Azuriah Sylvester of West Aurora jumped a season’s best of 45-6.5 to win the Triple Jump. Sylvester ran 11.28 into the wind to win the 100 Meter Dash with Max Jones of Glenbard South second. Peter Ogunleye of South Elgin jumped a personal best of 22-7.5 to win the Long Jump. He came back to clear 6-2.75 to win the High Jump. The senior also anchored South Elgin to the win in the 4x100 Meter Relay (43.09) just ahead of Glenbard East (43.18). Ogunleye was the anchor for the quartet in the 4x200 Meter Relay. South Elgin captured the win (1:31.28). Cole Tupper of Elgin pulled away on the final lap to run 9:35.23 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Judah McLean of West Chicago (9:38.48) and Brady Norman of Riverside-Brookfield (9:38.70) finished second and third. Tupper followed that race by running 4:27.55 to win the 1600 Meter Run again ahead of McLean (4:29.77) and Norman (4:31.67). Miguel Orrala of West Aurora ran 1:59.47 to win the 800 Meter Run with teammate Michael Nava finishing second (2:00.50).

 

Western Big Six Conference @ Geneseo (5/15) – East Moline United won the conference title scoring a massive 189 points outdistancing Sterling (128 points) and Moline (113 points). Michael Kpomassy of East Moline improved on his state lead in the Shot Put with a 66-7 best. His teammate Francis Sessenou also achieved a personal best of 56-2 to finish second. The two teammates switched places in the Discus as Sessenou threw 159-0 for the win with Kpomassy throwing 158-0 to finish second. East Moline had another 1-2 finish in the Long Jump. Daniel Kluga jumped 22-3.75 to win with Icone Logo finishing second (22-2.5). Logo came back to jump 48-8.25 to win the Triple Jump by five feet. Kaedon Phillips of Sterling and Malal Sy of East Moline both cleared 6-5.5 in the High Jump with Phillips winning. Jason Percy of Quincy was one of three athletes that cleared 13-2.5 in the Pole Vault. Percy won on fewer misses.

 

Colin Frederiksen of Moline ran 10.89 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Quincy Black of Rock Island (11.14). Fredericksen won his second event by running 22.14 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Joseph Holcomb of Sterling finished second (22.44). Sterling ran 42.40 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of East Moline (42.53) and Moline (42.81). Geneseo ran 1:28.93 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay almost two seconds ahead of Sterling (1:30.57). Sterling won the 4x400 Meter Relay (3:27.87) as Geneseo ran 3:27.64 to finish second. Elliott Batz of Rock Island ran 10:07.56 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Batz came back to run 4:28.89 to win the 1600 Meter Run with Isaiah Engle of Moline second (4:31.37).

 

Three Rivers Athletic Conference @ Sherrard (5/16) – Orion won a close battle for the conference title but scored 91.5 points to win ahead of Kewanee (88 points) and Mercer County (87 points). Braedon Bode of Riverdale was the only double winner in this meet winning the 3200 Meter Run (10:28.20) and the 1600 Meter Run (4:46.96) winning both races ahead of Alex Belha of Sherrard. Owen Voorhees of Orion 11.11 to win the 100 Meter Dash with Maddox Clark of Monmouth-Roseville finishing second (11.18). Clark ran 22.92 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Dalen Blazer of Mercer County jumped a personal best of 22-3 to win the Long Jump with Dontaveon Thomas of Kewanee jumping 22-0 to place second. Cooper Desseyn of Riverdale jumped 45-1 to win the Triple Jump establishing a personal best for the freshman.

 

Mississippi Valley Conference @ Mascoutah (5/14) – Mascoutah edged Troy Triad 158-152 to win the Boys conference title. Waterloo scored 117 points to finish third. Mascoutah was helped by a sweep of all four relays to win the conference title starting with Mascoutah running 8:24.30 to win the 4x800 Meter Relay by 20 seconds. The Indians followed that race by running 42.40 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay just ahead of Triad (42.43). Their third win happened with a 1:28.78) time to win by over four seconds. Mascoutah clinched the conference title with a 3:27.06 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay with a winning margin of nine seconds. Chris Pete of Waterloo was a double winner in the sprints running 11.24 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Pete came back to run 22.38 to win the 200 Meter Dash by almost a second. Louis Yohannes of Triad cruised to the win in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a 14.20 personal best. Max Weber of Bethalto Civic Memorial won both the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter Run. Weber made it look easy to the win in the 3200 Meter Run (10:00.88) winning by 14 seconds. Weber ran 4:23.59 to win the 1600 Meter Run finishing ahead of Christian Knobloch of Highland (4:24.67) and Drew Twyman of Triad (4:27.64). Luke Smith of Waterloo won a close race in the 800 Meter Run timed at 1:57.21 with Donnie Miller of Highland (1:57.76) and Twyman (1:57.80) second and third.

 

Big 12 Conference @ Peoria Richwoods (5/14) – Normal West rolled to the conference title scoring 128 points. Champaign Centennial and Normal Community both scored 91 points tying for second. Alec Austin of Normal West was a double winner in the field events jumping 22-4.25 to win the Long Jump. Austin also jumped 46-0 to win the Triple Jump with Edarius Gilmore of Richwoods jumping 45-5 to finish second. Voldy Makabu of Centennial cleared 6-5.5 to win the High Jump. His teammate JJ Lewandowski and Victor Jones of Danville cleared 6-3.5 placing second and third. D’Mario Jackson of Danville ran 11.04 to win the 100 Meter Dash with Travion Wilson of Centennial running 11.10 to finish second. Jackson also ran 21.89 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Danniel Harris of Normal West placing second (22.20). Normal West won a fast 4x100 Meter Relay race timed at 41.69 and ahead of Danville (41.88) and Centennial (42.06). Danville responded by running 1:28.01 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay with Richwoods the closest team to them (1:28.37). Normal Community put their top team in their lineup in the 4x800 Meter Relay, and their performance showed. The quartet of Drew Patterson, Joey Yaros, Caden Nyman, and AJ Ince ran a fast 7:53.82 alone to win the race by more than 26 seconds. Aiden Swanlund of Normal West ran 1:55.85 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of Aaron Kneller from Centennial (1:58.17) and Dax Duffy of Peoria Notre Dame (1:59.09). Caleb Mathias of Champaign Central ran 9:38.56 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Normal Community took the top two places in the 1600 Meter Run as Ince ran 4:25.96 for the win ahead of Yaros (4:26.74).

 

Chicago Christian Conference @ Hope Academy (5/14) – Wheaton Academy scored 168 points to win the conference crown with host Hope Academy scoring 140 points to finish second. Emery Eckert of Wheaton Academy won the 100 Meter Dash (10.99) ahead of Justin Houston from Hope Academy (11.15). Eckert ran 22.65 to win by one hundredth of a second ahead of Joshua Hallom of Hope Academy (22.66) in the 200 Meter Dash. Luke Osterholm of Wheaton Academy won the 800 Meter Run (2:02.34) just nipping Ryan McKenzie of Timothy Christian (2:02.57). Michael Osielski of Wheaton Academy won both the 3200 Meter Run (10:23.05) and the 1600 Meter Run (4:53.85). Zachary Van Wyk of Chicago Christian went under 15-seconds for the fourth time this season in the 110 Meter Hurdles running 14.84 to win the race by almost a second. Van Wyk and Griffin Schlenbecker of Wheaton Academy both cleared 6-5.5 in the High Jump with Van Wyk winning the event on fewer misses. Schlenbecker also jumped 43-8.75 to win the Triple Jump.

 

Southern Illinois River to River Conference @ Nashville (5/14) – This conference was divided and scored into two divisions. Benton scored 197.5 points to win the Mississippi Division ahead of Pinckneyville (114 points). Murphysboro scored 154 points to win the Ohio Division ahead of Herrin (145 points) and Carterville (142 points).

 

Mississippi Division: Gabriel McLain of Benton won all three distance races. McLain won the 3200 Meter Run (9:42.19 finishing ahead of DuQuoin’s Hayden Swiney (9:46.38) and Caiden Cook (9:47.07). McLain won the 800 Meter Run (2:01.15) ahead of teammate Seager Sanchez (2:02.90). McLain’s third win was tactical as he ran 4:37.24 with three other runners led by Evan Eberhart of Nashville (4:38.22) were within three seconds of the Benton senior. Andrew Kinsman of Benton heaved a personal best of 60-7 to win the Shot Put. Kinsman also threw 155-9 to win the Discus. A big winner in this division were the three wins from Brody Witt of Pinckneyville winning the High Jump (6-2), the Long Jump (21-0), and the Triple Jump (43-4). Tyler Haywood of Anna-Jonesboro won the 100 Meter Dash (11.43) and the 200 Meter Dash (23.45).

 

Ohio Division: Tyjaire Kellum of Murphysboro was a double winner running 10.83 to win the 100 Meter Dash and then 21.74 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Kyrese Lukens of Herrin won the 400 Meter Dash by two hundredths of a second with a 50.72 time ahead of Jaydon Miller of Massac County (50.74). Murphysboro won the 4x100 Meter Relay (43.42 just ahead of Herrin (43.44). Chris Nelson of Herrin jumped a personal best of 23-5.5 to win the Long Jump.

 

Mid-Illini Conference @ Pekin (5/13) – Morton scored 141 points to win the conference title with Metamora scoring 118.5 points in second. Jaiduan Cranford of Metamora ran 10.84 to win a close 100 Meter Dash ahead of Logan Smallwood of Limestone (10.86) and Cole Rinkenberger of Morton (10.89). Morton swept the top two spots in the 200 Meter Dash as Keenan Smith ran 22.21 for the win ahead of Rinkenberger (22.36). Morton ran 42.64 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of Metamora (42.95). Smallwood ran 49.27 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Rinkenberger at 49.70 and Smith at 50.09. Morton won the 4x800 Meter Relay (8:14.35) ahead of Limestone (8:17.26). Max Carter of Morton ran 9:34.72 to win the 3200 Meter Run with Fisher Rinkenberger of Washington placing second (9:42.69). Abe Martin of Morton ran 1:55.77 to edge Zach Born of Metamora (1:55.84) to win the 800 Meter Run. Ben Gorsage of Washington finished third (1:57.01). Christian Harris of Morton pulled away to run 4:19.74 to win the 1600 Meter Run almost nine seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Joe Atkins of Washington set a new conference record of 62-3 to win the Shot Put by 10 feet. Calvin Leman of Morton cleared a personal best of 14-4.5 to win the Pole Vault.

 

Cahokia Conference @ Chester (5/13) – Three divisions are part of this conference. Trenton Wesclin scored 161 points to win the Illinois Division ahead of Chester (143 points). Freeburg scored 177 points to win the Mississippi Division ahead of Salem (135 points) and Roxana (100 points). Dupo scored 148 points to win the Kaskaskia Division with Valmeyer placing second (110 points). Matt Pluff of Freeburg was the star of this meet winning four individual events. Pluff jumped 21-11.75 to win the Long Jump and cleared 6-1 to win the High Jump. The senior went to the track to run a personal best of 15.17 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles. Pluff’s fourth win came when he ran 39.78 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles by almost three seconds. Gavin Baldwin of Red Bud ran 10.89 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Riley Frech of Freeburg (11.05). The order was the same in the 200 Meter Dash as Baldwin ran 22.11 for the win ahead of Frech (22.39). Frech came back to run 51.38 to win the 400 Meter Dash just ahead of Jamal Burgess Jr of Wood-River (51.52). Zachary Duffie of Freeburg ran 1:58.90 to win the 800 Meter Run with Wyatt Doyle of Roxana running 1:59.80 to finish second. Mark Rozhon of Freeburg was a double winner winning the 3200 Meter Run (10:16.94) and the 1600 Meter Run (4:35.14).

 

East Suburban Catholic Conference @ Niles Notre Dame (5/13) – Benet Academy was dominant in the team scoring with 117 points just ahead of Marist (106 points) and Niles Notre Dame (75 points). Joseph Chase of St. Patrick pick up wins in both weight events. Chase won the Shot Put (46-3.5 to win the Shot Put and threw 143-4 to win the Discus. Michael Brow of Joliet Catholic was a double winner running 11.18 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Brow also ran 22.75 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Finn Richards of Benet Academy ran 9:37.45 to win the 3200 Meter Run ahead of Henry Theut of Niles Notre Dame (9:49.09). Theut came back to run 4:23.17 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of Matt McKee of Marist (4:25.74) and Richards (4:26.89).

 

Interstate Eight Conference @ Rochelle (5/13) – The meet came down to the final event as Sycamore held on to win the conference championship with 190.5 points. Kaneland scored 188 points to finish second. All the action started with some great performances in the field events. Aidan Wyzard of Sycamore jumped 24-2.25 (It was state leading until Thursday) winning the Long Jump. He added three more wins to his meet resume. He was part of Sycamore’s quartet that ran 41.82 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of Kaneland (43.02). Wyzard ran 10.66 to win the 100 Meter Dash. He ended his meet by running 21.51 to win the 200 Meter Dash ahead of his teammate Dylan Hodges (22.06). Andrew Nuyen of Rochelle cleared 15-5 to win the Pole Vault ahead of Braedon Shaner of Sycamore and Kyle Rogers of Kaneland who both cleared 14-5.25 finishing second and third. Kaneland ran 3:26.90 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay with Sycamore at 3:28.46 in finishing second. Weston Averkamp of Ottawa ran 15.12 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles. Averkamp also won the 300 Meter Hurdles (39.59). Carson Kaiser of Kaneland ran 9:54.54 to win the 3200 Meter Run ahead of teammate Evan Whildin (10:00.96). Gavin Smith of Kaneland ran 1:58.32 in his win in the 800 Meter Run ahead of Griffin Hammers of LaSalle-Peru (2:00.59). Cory Goff of Sycamore ran a personal best of 4:22.80 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of Evan Nosek of Kaneland (4:24.75) and Kaiser (4:26.86).

 

Kishwaukee River Conference @ Richmond-Burton (5/13) – Woodstock scored 102 points to win the Boys conference champion. Richmond-Burton (96 points) and Woodstock North (94 points) were a close second and third. Tristan Meszaros of Plano ran 10.85 to win the 100 Meter Dash with teammate Johnny Espino finishing second (10.97). Meszaros ran 22.05 to win the 200 Meter Dash ahead of Marengo’s Jackson Heinsoth (22.25). Both Espino and Meszaros helped Plano run 42.69 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay ahead of Woodstock North (43.04). Woodstock’s Ellery Shutt ran 9:54.11 to win the 3200 Meter Run with teammate Milo McLeer close behind (9:56.72). Shutt came back to run 4:32.84 to win the 1600 Meter Run with Johnsburg’s Grady Smith finishing second (4:35.18).

 

Southland Athletic Conference @ Kankakee (5/13) - Crete-Monee scored 112 points edging Bloom Township (107 points) for the team conference championship. Rich Township (98 points) and Thornton (94 points) finished third and fourth. Kaliq Wood of Crete-Monee ran 11.07 just ahead of Alijah Lewis of Thornwood (11.08) to win the 100 Meter Dash. Lewis responded in the 200 Meter Dash running 22.20 to win as Phillip Turner of Kankakee running 22.36 to place second. Tahari Curry of Thornton ran 50.06 to win the 400 Meter Dash by a margin of more than two seconds. Crete-Monee ran 42.77 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Kankakee ran 1:27.85 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay by more than a second ahead of Crete-Monee (1:29.35). Crete-Monee also received a triple win from Derrin Couch. The junior ran 15.58 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles and then 40.88 in winning the 300 Meter Hurdles. Couch’s third win came when he threw 138-6 for the Discus victory. Joshua Hill of Crete-Monee jumped 22-2.5 to win the Long Jump. Brian Miller of Crete-Monee unleashed a 46-2.75 jump to win the Triple with Hill jumping 44-0.75 to place second.

 

Heart of Illinois Conference @ Deer Creek Mackinaw (5/12) – Eureka scored 143 points to win the conference title ahead of Colfax Ridgeview (115.5 points) and El Paso-Gridley (114 points). Michael Beckett of Fieldcrest earned two wins in the horizontal jumps. The junior jumped a personal best of 21-8 to win the Long Jump ahead of Owen Bergquist of El Paso-Gridley (21-5.5). Beckett also jumped 43-10.75 in winning the Triple Jump. Owen Stoller of Eureka cleared a personal best of 14-0 to win the Pole Vault. Zane Hoffman of Ridgeview ran 11.02 to win the 100 Meter Dash with Braden Gibson of El Paso-Gridley a close second (11.09). Evan Landers-Kristensen of Gibson City-Melvin Sibley ran 49.54 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Lance Wiegand of Eureka finishing second (50.44). The Gibson City junior came back to run 22.98 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Ridgeview’s Colton Snyder finishing second (23.04). Ridgeview ran 43.08 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay with El Paso-Gridley at 43.73 the closest team to them. Ridgeview came back to run 1:32.33 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay. The Mustangs concluded their relay rampage by running 3:29.96 to win the 4x400 Meter Relay by almost four seconds ahead of El Paso-Gridley (3:33.46). Gavin Stalter of Eureka ran 1:59.74 just ahead of Caleb Krischel of Fieldcrest (1:59.89) to win the 800 Meter Run. Stalter later in the meet ran 4:37.42 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of Everett Henderson of Tremont (4:29.24) and Krischel (4:40.28).

 

West Central Conference @ Rushville-Industry (5/9) – Rushville-Industry edged Beardstown 123.5-122 to win this conference title with Camp Point Central finishing third (119.5 points). Joel Sosa of Beardstown won both the 1600 Meter Run (4:59.67) and the 800 Meter Run (2:07.68). Nolan Gooding of Warsaw jumped 21-1.5 to win the Long Jump. The senior came back to jump 42-9.25 to win the Triple Jump. Curtis Rigg of Camp Point Central ran 11.07 to win the 100 Meter Dash.

 

East Central Illinois Conference @ Judah Christian (5/9) – Urbana University scored 179 points to win the conference title. Bloomington Cornerstone Christian Academy scored 128 points to finish second. Cornerstone swept the horizontal jumps as Ethan Scheuermann jumped 20-7 to win the Long Jump with teammate William Lucht finishing second (20-5.75. It was the same order in the Triple Jump as Scheuermann jumped 39-2.5 to win ahead of Lucht (39-0.25).

 

Lincoln-Prairie Conference @ Arcola (5/9) – Sullivan scored 13 5 points to win the team title ahead of Arthur-Lovington (122.5) and Toledo Cumberland (115 points). Tyson Tennin of Argenta-Oreana jumped 21-3.25 to win the Long Jump. Quincy Carter of Argenta-Oreana also won jumping 43-3.25 to win the Triple Jump. Reid Carlen of Cumberland ran 11.20 narrowly winning ahead of Tanner Thomas of Arcola (11.23) in the 100 Meter Dash. Carlen came back to run 22.90 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Clark Roland of Broadlands Heritage won the 800 Meter Run (2:00.45) just ahead of Will Fuson of Cerro Gordo-Bement. Johnathan Iacobazzi of Sullivan ran 10:04.75 to win the 3200 Meter Run. The Sullivan junior came back to run 4:32.13 to win with Fuson running 4:32.93 to finish second. Arthur-Lovington ran 44.28 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Sullivan ran 44.74 to finish second.

 

Lincoln Trail Conference @ Kewanee Wethersfield (5/9) – Bureau Valley scored 117 points to win the conference title ahead of Kewanee Wethersfield (92.5 points). Carter Stroot of Abingdon-Avon led this meet winning three individual events. Stroot started by running 11.17 to win the 100 Meter Dash. The junior ran 50.94 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Jacob Bosch of Princeville running 51.70 to finish second. Stroot’s third win came when he ran 22.26 to win the 200 Meter Dash more than a second and a half ahead of the rest of the field. Karson Shrum of Wethersfield ran 2:05.13 to win the 800 Meter Run. Schrum ran 4:37.25 to come back to win the 1600 Meter Run with Evan Knobloch of Stark County finishing second (4:38.14). Knobloch earlier in the meet ran 9:55.18 to win the 3200 Meter Run by 42 seconds.

 

Prairieland Conference @ Lewistown (5/9) – Farmington won the Boys Conference title with 132 points. Elmwood (102 points), Macomb (93 points), and Astoria (86 points) followed. Bryson Ferguson of Lewistown jumped 43-0.25 to win the Triple Jump. Avery Fawcett of Astoria was a triple winner in the sprints. Fawcett ran 11.44 to edge Isaiah Knotts of Illini West (11.47) to win the 100 Meter Dash. Fawcett then ran 50.50 to win the 400 Meter Dash ahead of Elmwood’s Darwin Herman (50.79). Fawcett’s third win came when he ran 22,76 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Reed Florey of Elmwood ran 10:16.52 to win the 3200 Meter Run. Florey then ran 2:01.99 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of Dax Ulm of Farmington (2:03.27). Herman after his 400 race ran 4:32.91 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of his teammate Aiden Faulkner (4:35.07) and Ulm (4:35.17).

 

Apollo Conference @ Taylorville (5/8) – Mt. Zion won the team title (160 points) ahead of Mahomet-Seymour (149 points). The top four runners in the 800 Meter Run all ran personal bests. Augustus Gaudio of Mahomet-Seymour ran 1:55.07 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of Jude Toft of Mt Zion (1:55.68), Alex Gordon of Effingham (1:56.83), and Henry McMurry of Mahomet-Seymour (1:57.02). Liam Bettis of Taylorville won two events on his home track. The sophomore ran 9:38.10 to win the 3200 Meter Run a winning margin of 17 seconds. Bettis ran 4:24.36 to win the 1600 Meter Run ahead of Mahomet-Seymour’s Ethan Ramirez (4:25.52) and Gaudio (4:33.25). Mahomet-Seymour ran 8:16.82 for the 4x800 Meter Relay win as Mt. Zion ran 8:21.59 to finish second. Weldon Dunston of Effingham picked up wins in the 100 Meter Dash (11.15) and 22.42 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Travis Hoffman of Mahomet-Seymour swept both hurdle races running 14.97 to win the 110 Hurdles and 39.28 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles. Drake Howard of Taylorville cleared 14-8.25 to win the Pole Vault. Treylin Couch of Charleston jumped 44-8 to win the Triple Jump by almost five feet.

 

Illinois Central Eight Conference @ Herscher (5/8) – Streator scored 141.5 points in winning the conference title with Coal City (117 points) and Herscher (116 points) finished second and third. Isaiah Brown of Streator won three events to help his team win the meet. Brown only needed an 18-4 effort to win the Long Jump. Brown then ran 10.93 to win the 100 Meter Dash. His third win came win in the 200 Meter Dash (22.49) ahead of Wilmington’s Billy Moore (22.92). Julian Micetich of Coal City ran 15.28 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles and 41.94 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles.

 

Central Illinois Conference @ Macon Meridian (5-8) – Tuscola scored 192 points for the conference win with Clinton (171 points) and Shelbyville (107 points) finishing second and third. Sawyer Woodard of Tuscola threw a personal best of 166-6.5 to win the Discus. Will Nohren of Shelbyville was a double winner jumping 21-0 to win the Long Jump and clearing 6-4 to easily win the High Jump. Kaden Flenner of Tuscola ran 11.15 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Ryan Neece of Moweaqua Central A & M (11.26). Flenner also ran 22.41 to win the 200 Meter Dash with Fleece finishing second (23.17). Carter Simpson of Tuscola won both hurdle races running 15.87 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles and 41.74 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles ahead of teammate David Hornaday (41.84). Henry Woolery of Shelbyville ran 2:03.00 to win the 800 Meter Run with Nolan Rhodes of Clinton running 2:04.05 to finish second.

 

Independent School League @ Lake Forest Academy (5/8) – Latin scored 146 to win the league title ahead of Northridge Prep (110 points) and Chicago University (106 points). Brian E Smith II of North Shore Country Day was in charge of all three sprint events. Smith II ran 11.23 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Smith II ran 49.81 to win the 400 Meter Dash by almost three seconds. His third win came running 22.62 to win the 200 Meter Dash ahead of Latin’s Robert Danciu (23.04). Simon Lane of Chicago University ran 1:59.81 to win the 800 Meter Run. Micah Weiss of Latin ran 2:02.13 to finish second. The two runners finished 1-2 in the 1600 Meter Run Lane timed at 4:38.81 ahead of Weiss (4:41.66). Nico Rastatter of Latin ran 9:48.48 to win the 3200 Meter Run with teammate Ben Gibson second (9:49.46) and Peter Kipp of Northridge Prep (9:51.37). Reid Kaczynski of Northridge Prep won both the 110 Meter Hurdles (16.52) and 42.01 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles.

 

Little Ten Conference @ Waterman (5/8) – Illinois Math & Science Academy scored 180 points in winning the conference title finishing ahead of Indian Creek (100 points) and Hinckley-Big Rock (96 points). Xavier Brown of IMSA ran 11.54 to win the 100 Meter Dash and 23.71 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Landin Stillwell of Somonauk ran 10:46.80 to win the 3200 Meter Run and 4:44.81 to win the 1600 Meter Run. Aiden Singleton of IMSA picks up wins in the 110 Meter Hurdles (16.18) and 43.79) to win the 300 Meter Hurdles.

 

Vermillion Valley Conference @ Westville (5/8) – Bismarck-Henning scored 120 points to win the conference title. Salt Fork registered 91 points to finish second. Maddax Stine of Salt Fork won the Shot Put (50-11) and threw 172-3.75 to win the Discus. Mason Cunningham of Bismarck-Henning ran 11.23 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Nathaniel Burd from Armstrong (11.37). Cunningham ran 22.98 to win the 200 Meter Dash with teammate Dylan Davis second (23.08). Bismarck Henning also ran 43.76 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay just ahead of Westville (43.97).

 

Chicago Prep Championships @ Westmont (5/8) – Westmont (174 points) edged CICS/Northtown (161.5 points) for the Boys conference title. Taj Lewis of Westmont was a double winner in the Shot Put (46-8.25) and 115-5 to win the Discus. Jaden Hamilton of Holy Trinity swept all three sprint events in the 100 Meter Dash (11.41), 400 Meter Dash (54.67), and the 200 Meter Dash (24.16). Adin Gillers of Rochelle Zell also earned a double win in the 3200 Meter Run (10:04.35 winning by over two minutes and 4:55.73 to win the 1600 Meter Run.

 

Gateway Metro Conference @ Althoff Catholic (5/7) – Father McGivney edged Althoff Catholic 122-112 for the Boys team title. Freshman Logan Thompson of Althoff Catholic jumped a personal best of 23-7.75 to win the Long Jump. Thompson went to the track where he ran 11.24 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Landyn Mitchell of Christ Our Rock Lutheran ran 15.36 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles. Mitchell jumped 41-5.25 to win the triple Jump after finishing second in the Long Jump.

 

Lakeshore Athletic Conference @ Hope Academy (5/7) – Intrinsic Charter-Downtown scored 92 points to win the conference title ahead of Wolcott (78 points). Cameron Harmon of Intrinsic Charter led his team winning both the Shot Put (28-10.5) and 98-6.75 to win the Discus.

 

Little Illini Conference @ Robinson (5/7) – Richland County was in complete control of this meet scoring 195 points to win the conference title. Newton scored 98 points to finish second. Rex Latham of Richland County jumped 22-2.5 to win the Long Jump with teammate Gavyn Cothern jumping 21-6.25 to finish second. Cothern cleared 6-4.25 to win the High Jump. Cothern and Hallam along with Ian Pianfetti and Felipe Goncalves teamed up to run 42.14 to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Their margin of victory ahead of Newton (44.72) was more than two seconds. Goncalves won the 100 Meter Dash (10.95) ahead of Pianfetti (11.02). The order changed in the 200 Meter Dash as Pianfetti won (22.41) ahead of Goncalves (22.85). Tristin Butler of Richland County ran 2:01.69 to win just barely ahead of Hayden Borgic from Newton (2:01,78). Quaid Berger of Richland County won the 3200 Meter Run (9:38.46) and later in the meet ran 4:34.63 for the win in the 1600 Meter Run with Butler finishing second (4:38.37).

 

Illinois Prairie Conference @ Monticello (5/6) – Tolono Unity used their depth with only four wins out of the 18 events on their way to scoring 144 points to win the conference title. Pontiac (94 points) and Monticello (90 points) finished second and third. Isaiah Whitaker of Bloomington Central Catholic was in the spotlight again winning the Pole Vault. The junior cleared 17-8.5 on his first attempt to win the competition. Riley Hogan of St. Thomas More cleared 15-5 to finish second. Whitaker also finished second in the 400 Meter Dash (52.18) behind event winner Brock Schittler of Tolono Unity. Adam Reedy of Tolono Unity ran 11.19 to win the 100 Meter Dash ahead of Kolton Wright of Prairie Central (11.24). Unity’s Garrett Richardson ran 22.67 to win the 200 Meter Dash. Prairie Central ran 42.31 to hold off Tolono Unity (42.41) to win a fast 4x100 Meter Relay. Tolono Unity came back to run 1:29.15 to win the 4x200 Meter Relay by a three second margin ahead of Rantoul. Jackson Helms of Monticello ran 15.10 winning the 110 Meter Hurdles. Helms in the field events jumped 22-0.25 to win the Long Jump. Aiden Duhs of Illinois Valley Central ran 1:56.36 to win the 800 Meter Run ahead of Camden Fairbanks of Tolono Unity (1:59.52). Jack Fisher of St. Joseph-Ogden won the 3200 Meter Run ahead of Eli Crowe of Tolono Unity (9:50.95). River Derby of Monticello won the 1600 Meter Run (4:33.23) with Unity’s Collin Graven (4:36.64) and Crowe (4:38.21) placing second and third. Jeremy Melton of Pontiac cleared 6-5.5 to win the High Jump.

 

National Trail Conference @ Altamont (5/6) – Altamont won on their home track scoring 172 points. Cowden Herrick finished second (134 points) ahead of Effingham St. Anthony (109 points). Altamont’s Ben Roedl was in the spotlight in this meet winning four individual events. Roedl was an easy winner in the High Jump clearing 6-3.25. He also jumped 20-11.75 to win the Long Jump and 40-10.75 in winning the Triple Jump. Roedel’s fourth win came on the track as he ran 11.47 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Eli Hiatt of St. Anthony was a double winner in the hurdles. He ran 16.50 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles by almost two seconds. Hiatt ran a personal best of 41.13 to win the 300 Meter Hurdles. Hayden Summers of Altamont finished second (41.57).

 

Sangamo Conference @ Pleasant Plains (5/6) – Pleasant Plains won the Boys team titles with 133 points. Maroa-Forsyth (86.5 points) and Williamsville (83 points) finished second and third. Jacob Barth of Auburn had a dynamic double in the sprints. Barth ran 49.91 to win the 400 Meter Dash with Noah Hardy of Petersburg PORTA running 50.50 finishing second. Barth ran 22.92 to win the 200 Meter Dash just ahead of PORTA’s Issac Renecker and Kadyn Harmony of Pleasant Plains who were both timed at 23.01 finishing second and third. Rennecker earlier in the meet cleared 6-3 to win the High Jump. Anthony Beckman of Williamsville was a double winner with a 49-5 put to win the Shot Put and threw 149-5 to win the Discus. James Baisden of Auburn won a close 800 Meter Run timed at 1:59.42 with Cole Payne of Pleasant Plains finishing second (1:59.72). Elijah Teefey of Pleasant Plains ran the 3200 Meter Run easily with a 10:41.43 winning time. Teefey came back to run 4:32.97 to win the 1600 Meter Run by 12 seconds ahead of Baisden.

 

South Central Conference @ Carlinville (5/6) – Vandalia edged Litchfield 114-106 to win the Boys Conference title. Carlinville scored 94 points in finishing third. Kohnor Depew of Vandalia ran 11.08 to win the 100 Meter Dash. Alex Roach of Litchfield ran 11.22 to finish second. Depew ran 22.52 to win the 200 Meter Dash narrowly as Roach ran 22.63 to place second. Gavin File of Greenville swept the hurdle events running 16.24 to win the 110 Meter Hurdles and 42.73 in winning the 300 Meter Hurdles. Gillespie took the top two places in the 3200 Meter Run. 1A State XC Champion Chaz Oberkfell ran 10:36.45 to edge teammate Marshall Garwood (10:36.74). Oberkfell came back to run 4:31.9 to win the 1600 Meter Run. Michael Wilson of Greenville ran 4:33.8 to finish second. North Mac’s Ozzie Maddox won the Shot Put (49-1) and the Discus (140-1).
