Roadmap to the Illinois HS XC Weekend - September 23, 2022

The weekend starts or started early for some teams. Rockford Christian started yesterday winning the Duck Pond Invitational in Wisconsin on Thursday. Five team head to Minnesota for the Roy Griak Invitational. The Boys Gold race will have Illinois schools #5 Neuqua Valley and  #11 Plainfield North. The Girls Gold race will have Illinois schools #3 Naperville North, #7 Batavia, and #17 Yorkville.

Saturday will feature #12 Lyons Township Boys’ team at the Culver Academies Invitational in Indiana. #21 Hinsdale Central Girls team will compete at the Midwest Invitational in Wisconsin.

There are some great meets besides the Palatine Meet of Champions (READ THE PREVIEW) on Saturday. The East Peoria Invitational has some high powered teams from Central Illinois including Boys 1A #1 Normal University. The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartan Classic, run on the streets of St. Joseph, has two great races headlined by 1A #1 Tolono Unity in the Girls race.
