Congratulations to Ali Ince of Normal Community as the 2021 ILXCTF.com Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

Ince had a fantastic freshman season winning two individual state championships and anchoring her team to the win in the Class 3A 4x400 Meter Relay. Ince missed breaking the state meet record in the 800 Meter Run by one hundredth of a second. She came back to set a new state meet record in winning the 1600 Meter Run. Ince also ran 2:03.98 at the Brooks PR Invitational in July to establish a new Illinois All-Time Best for the distance breaking her previous best of 2:04.10 at Distance Night in Palatine in May. Ince currently has run four of the top five fastest times for the event.

Tori Thomas of Rock Island Alleman was selected as the Class 2A Girls Athlete of the Year. Alyssa Williams of Tuscola was selected as the Class 1A Girls Athlete of the Year.

Jaydn Ulrich of East Alton-Wood River, Riley Ammenhauser of Neuqua Valley, Ava Parekh of Latin School, and Josephine Welin of Oak Park-River Forest were also considered in this category.
